New posts every Monday and Friday mornings!

“So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.”

- 1 Peter 1:14-15

Here is an encouraging list of verses explaining who God says that you are, affirming our identity in Christ Jesus.

1.    You are a child of God.

“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)

2.    You are God’s masterpiece.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10)

3.    You are redeemed and forgiven.

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace….” (Ephesians 1:7)

4.    You are a new creation.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

5.    You are a friend of Jesus.

“I no longer call you slaves, because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.” (John 15:15)

6.    You are the temple of the Lord.

“Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)

7.    You are an heir with Christ.

“Now you are no longer a slave but God’s own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir.” (Galatians 4:7)

On Monday, we will start a multi-part study on the life of Joseph and his perfect perspective throughout his life.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
