Raising Arrows

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him. Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands.” (Psalm 127:4-5)

The Sabbath

“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.’” (Mark 2:28)


“You have heard the commandment that says, ‘You must not commit adultery.’ But I say, anyone who even looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:27-28)

Our Value

Value is often determined by how much someone is willing to pay for something. God has paid for you with the life of His one and only Son. There is no greater value than that.

Last Meal in Slavery

Sometimes you remember a meal, not because of how it tasted but because of the significance of the event surrounding it. On this Good Friday, we are going to look at two meals that were surrounded by significant events. 

Unrecognized, Rejected, Hated

“He came into the very world he created, but the world didn't recognize him.” John 1:10

“He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.” Isaiah 53:3

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” John 15:18

Storms Likely

It may feel like Jesus is sleeping through your storm or He may feel far away on the shore, but He will walk on top of the waves to you and rebuke the winds. With one word He can bring peace.

Jesus, Amazed

Twice in Scripture, Jesus is described as being amazed, and He is amazed at opposite displays of faith. How will you amaze Jesus?
