Some people have an objection to a loving God based on the presence of pain and suffering in our world. C.S. Lewis called it the problem of pain. The argument usually goes like this: “How can a loving God allow pain and suffering?”

One of the best ways to learn about a person’s character is to look at how they react to adversity. Jesus’ earthly father, Joseph the carpenter, was no stranger to adversity. So to better understand Joseph’s character, we are going to look at his reactions to difficult situations.
Satan, demons, the evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, the evil spirits: these are our real enemies, let’s get back to the basics of what the Bible says about them.
Whether we face death for our beliefs or criticism in the college classroom, Paul’s message is the same: stand firm in the faith.
Be watchful.
Like a small crack in the foundation, what we watch matters. We need to be aware of what can seep into our minds. We are called to be different, to conduct ourselves as citizens of heaven, and to remember that when people look to us, we should reflect Christ.
