It is not for us to rebel against governing authorities. It is for us to pray for our leaders, pray for our country, recognize that God is in control, and respect the governing authority that God has put in place.
“Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God.” (Matthew 3:8) John the Baptist taught that it’s the way we live that should prove we have repented and turned to God. It’s still true for us today, so does the way you live prove that you have repented and turned to God?
For our final entry in this series, we are looking at Jesus’ definition of prayer and how we should behave when we fast.
“Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 6:1)
“The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.’” (Mark 2:28)

We all have bad days, in 1 Samuel 9 we meet a man named Saul who was having a bad day, but God was working through His bad day to bring about His perfect plan.
God’s people have a history of rebelling against Him and choosing exactly what is wrong for them. But God breaks through our bad choices to bring about His perfect plan for our lives.
When we confess and repent of our sins, God has promised to make the walls of our sin come crashing down
